Must be a scam. Dropping your items outside is one of the oldest tricks in the book.

You can thank the QQ forums (home of most of the handtards in GW) for your woes.

Indeed, "better" players who made no effort to tell that retard how immoral scamming is.

Even if they don't try to steal it from you, nothing stops them from waiting till you drop it then walking back into town, thus rezoning and making you lose it.

"Don't drop anything you want to keep on the ground. Ever." <- should be on the front page of Guild Wars, and you should have to push OK to get past that message, every time you log in.

They dont tell him because they know that the guy knows, and they dont care that he doesnt care. Its up to him, and theyre not babying him about it.

So in other words, they're standing watching, whiles someone does something he shouldn't, that's pretty much the same as watch someone shoplift without telling the police/shopowner. Just because he's doen't care about what he did, it doesn't mean he should get away with it, which is what them "better" players are doing.

That person, and the person Zinger quoted should be ban, for scamming, and encouraging scamming.

Well I guess if the person is dumb enough to drop it, might as well take advantage of him/her.

Because guild wars is a team game, it ironically helps to be anti-social (online anyways) to be the best. Things like friendship tend to hold otherwise skilled players back from real competition.

Unless you have rampant kleptomania, I think you could control yourself. Saying that it's the victims fault for being stupid, is the sort of thing I'd expect to hear from a scammer, to make their crime sound less bad.
